Services
If a matter involves facilities—commercial, industrial, or institutional property—it’s in Elliot’s domain of expertise. He focuses his practice on the legal dimensions of design and construction; utilities and energy; and real estate in general.
Elliot regularly represents clients in a broad range of transactions, including real estate acquisitions, sales, development, leasing and financing, joint venture formation, private-public partnership (P3) projects, and complex design and construction matters. He also has significant experience resolving property tax disputes with municipal assessors and in front of boards of assessment appeals.
Elliot leverages his mechanical background (having been a Marine helicopter mechanic) to understand the intricacies of a client’s project, often resulting in a more incisive application of the law.
His clients encompass a wide array of industries, including education, power generation, clean technology, real estate, health care, manufacturing, hospitality, professional services, and biotechnology.
Elliot is listed in Chambers USA in the Real Estate category and was selected as a Rising Star by New England Super Lawyers.
Elliot received his J.D. summa cum laude from Western New England College School of Law, where he was a notes editor at the Western New England Law Review. He obtained a B.A. summa cum laude in social science, history, and philosophy from Lyndon State College. From 1997 to 2002, he served as a helicopter and flight equipment maintenance technician in the United States Marine Corps.
Elliot lives in Madison, Connecticut, with his wife and two boys and enjoys brewing craft beer in his free time.
